We will reach a point this evening when the area becomes rain-cooled and stabilizes. We expect another round of strong to severe storms to develop around noon Saturday. This could end up being a fast-moving line of strong to severe storms with areas of isolated damaging wind in excess of 60 mph.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A few isolated showers and storms are possible into the evening hours, but we don’t expect anything too widespread. A warm and muggy day ahead for Friday. It’s a 48 First Alert Weather Day. We will likely be tracking a complex of strong to severe storms for the afternoon and early evening hours. This is nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year. We just want to make you aware of the storm threat.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - A First Alert Weather Day is in effect for Friday night into Saturday morning. The threat for a more robust line of strong to severe storms for North Alabama and Southern Middle Tennessee is increasing. We are still struggling with the timing of this line of strong to severe storms. As of right now, it looks like we can expect this line of storms to move in after 9 pm Friday night and it could last through 4 am Saturday in some areas of Northeast Alabama.
