NATCHITOCHES – With nearly 30 years of coaching experience across all levels, close ties to recruiting hotbeds and no stranger to success, Ben Kaszeta has been chosen as the new head volleyball coach at Northwestern State. Director of Athletics Kevin Bostian announced Kaszeta as the 16th head coach in program history on Thursday afternoon. “Ben has deep ties to both the college and high school levels in Louisiana and the Southland Conference,” Bostian said.

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State head volleyball coach Sean Kiracofe has resigned from his position, it was announced on Friday. Kiracofe was the longest-tenured and the coach who amassed the most wins in Demon volleyball history, the only coach to win more than 100 matches in their career at NSU. “I would like to thank (former NSU Director of Athletics) Mr. (Greg) Burke and (former NSU President) Dr. (Jim) Henderson for offering me the chance to lead this program,” Kiracofe said.

NATCHITOCHES – The 2025 schedule for Northwestern State and first-year head softball coach Jenny Fuller features a home tournament weekend, a familiar Big 12 foe, a pair of in-state home-and-homes and the standard 27-game conference gauntlet. The Demons will host a total of 22 games on the brand-new turf field that will make its debut at the Lady Demon Diamond this year.

NATCHITOCHES – First-year Northwestern State softball head coach Jenny Fuller completed her coaching staff on Friday with the announcement of three new members. Brad Fuller, husband of Jenny, joins the staff as the Demons’ associate head coach while Paxtyn Hayes, a former player for the Fullers at Pittsburg State, and Nicky Dawson, a Baylor softball alum like Jenny, will be serve as assistants.

Taylor Williams put together a career senior season setting new season highs in 11 different offensive categories, including leading the team in batting average, runs scored and on-base percentage to earn a second-team utility spot on the LSWA All-Louisiana team.

NATCHITOCHES, La. (NSU) - Northwestern State volleyball is offering three different camps for a wide range of ages and skill levels in the month of July. A pair of three-day camps will take place from July 8-10. Running from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m., the Little Demons camp will introduce campers to the sport of volleyball and begin to develop their skills in the game, and above all have fun playing. The cost is $175 per camper ages 6 through 12.

(NSU) - Four Northwestern State seniors had career-best seasons on the field in 2024, accompanying their impeccable work in the classroom to earn Southland Conference All-Academic Team status. Tristin Court, Maggie Darr, Kenzie Seely and Ashlyn Walker each earned a spot on the league’s second-team squad announced on Monday afternoon. NSU had four players on the all-academic team for the third consecutive season, which also matches the most in a single season since 2017.
