A new game from the creators of Pokémon is now available on mobile. Developed by Pokémon maker Game Freak alongside mobile game studio WonderPlanet, Pandoland is a “casual adventure RPG” in which players explore dungeons and search for treasure in a blocky world. Altogether, players can collect over 500 characters and items through which they can create a team of companions. Co-op multiplayer is also supported so players can adventure together or even just share information with one another.

sockagphoto//ShutterstockCineplex is offering a pretty good discount on tickets and snacks later this month. On Tuesday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 29, both general admission tickets and small popcorn will be $5 each. It should be noted that the $1.50 online booking fee ($1 with Scene+, waived with CineClub or in-theatre purchases) still applies. Cineplex has occasionally offered this Tuesday promo in the past.

Bethesda has all but confirmed its long-rumoured remaster of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. In a social media post, the publisher shared a cryptic image of an armoured soldier and the roman numeral “IV,” a clear reference to Oblivion. The company teased that “all will be revealed” in a stream tomorrow, April 22, at 8 a.m. PT/11 a.m. ET on its YouTube and Twitch channels. Given the swath of leaks lately, this is almost undoubtedly The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

Premium video-on-demand (PVOD) platforms are also fair game as movies continue to come to digital early.

Nintendo has finally confirmed official Canadian pricing for key Switch 2 games. In a press release confirming a new April 24 date for Switch 2 pre-orders, the company revealed that Mario Kart World will cost $109.99 in Canada. We had expected the game to cost in this price range here, given the US$80 cost, but now we know definitively. On top of that, Nintendo confirmed that Donkey Kong Bananza will be priced at $99.99 in Canada.

Will never forget playing Final Fantasy VII Remake for the first time. The emotional overload of this grand return to a key part of my childhood just weeks into COVID lockdowns remains an all-timer gaming memory. Pure magic. And somehow, Rebirth was even better! #FF7R
