    The American Legion baseball season gets into full swing this week around Chippewa County with teams of all sizes hitting the diamond. Chippewa Falls Post 77 will, once again, be fielding three teams, boasting 19U, 17U and 16U levels. The Post 77 19U senior legion team will be led once against by coach Griffin Spindler, who enters his third year stewarding the veteran squad. The team will have several returners from a season ago, while adding strength from the program's 17U team that reached state.
