    MACON, Ga. — Ho, Ho, Ho!  That is what some people heard at the Hay House on Saturday during their visit with Santa. Santa came to take some pictures with several kiddos in Macon. People could come and get their pictures taken with Santa from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The visit with Santa at the Hay House is an annual tradition going back at least for 20 years. 13WMAZ got to speak with Santa Claus and he said he loved coming to Macon.

    PERRY, Ga. — The City of Perry kicked off the holiday season with a Gingerbread Village: A Sweet and Merry Christmas Parade on Saturday. The parade started at 10 a.m. There were more than 80 floats featuring representatives from the community in Perry. Frank Lester said the parade is good for kids and they always love seeing Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. "I think it was great to see Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, the kids were very excited to be here and I was excited," he said.

    PERRY, Ga. — On Saturday, several competed to see who would be the top dog. The Winter Wonderland Cluster Dog Show welcomed all breeds and hundreds of dogs and owners to the Georgia Grown building at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Argicenter. The dogs are scored in several categories from obedience to performance and much more. There are also different levels from novice to intermediate to advanced and so on all the way up to master and choice levels.

    PERRY, Ga. — People had some fun at the Winter Classic Swine Show in Perry. The event was held by the Georgia Junior Livestock Foundation at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter. The Georgia Junior Livestock Foundation was founded as a statewide organization to promote youth livestock exhibitors of Georgia for their hard work and dedication. The Georgia State Livestock Shows were chosen as a forum to aid these young people.

    MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — In Milledgeville on Saturday, a Montford Point Marine was honored with the Congressional Gold Medal Award. The Montford Point Marines were the first Black Americans to enlist in the U.S. Marines after President Franklin Roosevelt issued an executive order establishing the fair employment practices commission in June 1941.
