Downtown’s art-filled Pearl district has unveiled another colorful addition: a five-panel mural titled “Agua y Comunidad” by acclaimed San Antonio Chicano artist and painter Joe Lopez. The large-scale artwork, now publicly viewable across from Ladino at 1100 Springs Plaza, contemplates water’s historic importance to the site. Lopez weaves several aquatic elements into the lyrical piece, including hot springs and Pearl’s popular splash pad.
