The Sacramento Kings wasted no time making a leadership change after losing their play-in game Wednesday. General manager Monte McNair and the Kings mutually agreed to part ways, sources told Sam Amick of The Athletic. McNair took over as GM in 2020 and signed a multi-year extension in January 2023, months before being named NBA Executive of the Year. Sacramento made one playoff appearance under McNair, finishing 48-34 in 2022-23, but was eliminated by the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

We've reached the quarter mark of the 2000s. To celebrate, theScore's MLB editors constructed each organization's best 26-man roster from the last 25 seasons. We begin with the AL East and will continue with a new division daily throughout the week. Most important player: Adam Jones. The outfielder was a key piece of the Orioles' resurgence, helping the organization snap a 14-year postseason drought in 2012 and win an AL East title in 2014 (Baltimore's first since 1997).
