CARBONDALE, Ill. — With Stan Reno's retirement as police chief looming, the Carbondale Police Department is down to two finalists for his replacement. Anthony Copeland and Garrik Haynes were introduced on Thursday during a public meet-and-greet event at the Carbondale Police Department, where they met with the community and shared their backgrounds and ambitions. Copeland is originally from Baltimore, getting his start at the police department there.
