This weekend marks the start of the deadliest season for teen drivers. The period between Memorial Day and Labor Day is known as the 100 deadliest days. AAA says last summer saw an 18% increase in deadly teen crashes. BUFFALO, N.Y. — As you start your day, think of all the choices you make. How do you want your coffee? What do you want for breakfast? What shoes do you want to wear? But how would you feel if you had no say over any of those choices? For children who are abused, that’s their reality — no choices. According to the New York State Council on Children and Families Kids’ Well-Being Indicators Clearinghouse, there were 19,671 indicated reports of child abuse and maltreatment just in upstate in 2023.
