    A Prescott police officer who shot and killed an unarmed man last year has been indicted on one count of manslaughter. The Prescott Police Department responded to the home of 34-year-old Daniel Leslie on June 8th to arrest him on multiple charges stemming from an earlier alleged domestic violence incident. Body camera footage shows then-officer Brian Sutton fire three shots at Leslie to stop him from going back into the house.

    The editor of a Show Low online news outlet is charged with two felonies after authorities say she made several fake social media posts about the case of a 16-year-old boy missing for nearly two years. According to the Navajo County Attorney's Office, 50-year-old Molly Kathryn Ottman reported that the stepfather of Jarrett Brooks had implied he molested the teen in several posts to the website Reddit. Investigators later determined she made the posts herself.

    The self-proclaimed prophet of a polygamous sect was sentenced to 50 years in prison Tuesday. He initially faced dozens of charges related to what prosecutors described as a "yearslong" conspiracy to amass underage wives but ultimately took a plea deal. As part of that deal, Samuel Bateman admitted to taking more than 20 so-called spiritual “wives,” including 10 underage girls, and forcing them to have sex with him and other adult followers.

    The Flagstaff City Council narrowly rejected an ordinance change Tuesday that some residents said would unfairly restrict noise across the city while exempting certain downtown areas. The amendment would have moved up the noise regulation start time to 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and midnight on Friday and Saturday. However, the proposal included an exemption for a portion of downtown, specifically north from Route 66 to Cherry Avenue and east from Humphreys to WC Riles.
