Calls for comprehensive upgrades at Esperance Senior High School are continuing to grow louder, as it's been revealed students and teachers are being forced to work from dilapidated buildings, some of which had been slated for demolition in 2001 due to their condition.

VacSwim participants attending a lesson at one of the programs 170 locations across WA. Despite a nationwide shortage of swimming instructors, all of VacSwims swimming programs are set to go ahead this holiday season. A Department of Education spokesperson confirmed no programs scheduled for the months of December and January had been cancelled, saying the department's efforts were ongoing to ensure the programs would not be impacted by the instructor shortages.

One of the State's renewable energy projects, a solar farm in Northam. A new government entity, PoweringWA, is being developed within the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety, to support a move to renewables to help power WA's main electricity network. PoweringWA's establishment follows on from the government's announcement mid last year of the staged retirement of all State-owned coal-fired generators by 2030.
