Anime distributor AnimEigo and parent company MediaOCD have announced the home media Blu-ray release of the anime series Romeo’s Blue Skies on July 29th. The 33-episode series was produced in 1995 by Nippon Animation and was directed by Kozo Kusuba with screenplay by Michiru Shimada and character designs by Yoshiharu Soto. It is based on the 1941 Swiss novel Die Schwarzen Brüder (The Black Brothers), by Lisa Tetzner.

Nick Seluk has come a long way in thirteen years with his deceptively simple drawings of a blue yeti named Lars. The Awkward Yeti has arguably long been eclipsed by his own anthropomorphised organs, notably his Heart and Brain. Seluk launched a Kickstarter a couple days ago for Heart and Brain: Barely Hanging On (…But Never Giving Up), a brand new curated anthology of Heart and Brain/Awkward Yeti comics from the past few years, including the poignant viral hit Heart Transplant.
