Clermont Northeastern High School has announced changes in leadership for both the boys and girls basketball teams. Athletic director Andrew Marlatt said in a statement that Brian Lawhon has been hired as the new boys basketball coach, pending board approval. In three seasons as CHCA's coach, Lawhon amassed a 55-16 record. He was named the Miami Valley Conference and District 16 Coach of the Year after the 2019-2020 season when the Eagles went 23-3 and won their first district championship.

Mason sophomore Delaney Radtke took two steps to her right and reached across her body to grab a line drive, recording the second out of the fifth inning of the Comets' 10-0 win over Sycamore on April 2. She flipped the ball to shortstop Halle Martin to complete a game-ending double play and secure the second no-hitter of junior pitcher Anna Polca's career.

For the third straight year, the women's NCAA Final Four will feature a Cincinnati high school graduate. Mason graduate Kyla Oldacre and Mount Notre Dame graduate Laila Phelia both transferred to Texas before the season and have helped the Longhorns advance to their first Final Four since 2003. Texas plays South Carolina at 7 p.m. Friday at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. It is the fourth meeting this season between the Longhorns and Gamecocks; Texas won a home game on Feb.
