Here's a wrap up of which jobs have changed hands. Joe Campolongo promoted AD at MiddletownCampolongo has served as Middletown's assistant athletic director since 2020. He will take over for J.D. Before each game, Waynesville catcher Katelynn Eckley has a pregame routine that includes eating noodles with butter, listening to music, and a superstition of putting her left sock on first. Every time she goes to the Warren County Airport to fly with her private pilot's license, she goes through a much more extensive pre-flight checklist. She does three laps around the plane to check the lights, all the mechanical components, and the oil and gas.

Thursday night's softball game between the Highlands Bluebirds and Notre Dame Pandas served a greater purpose than simply sorting out the top of the Ninth Region power rankings. About two months ago, Highlands junior Morgan Pompilio had the idea of hosting a "Strike Out Cancer" game to honor her grandmother, Mary Jo Long, as well as additional local cancer survivors. Pompilio is very close with Long, who was diagnosed with breast cancer when Pompilio was younger.
