AP The White Sox named Class AAA Charlotte Knights infielder Tim Elko and Class AA Birmingham Barons right-hander Grant Taylor as their minor-league players of the month on Friday. Elko leads Class AAA in slugging percentage and is fourth in batting average. He has recorded a hit in 21 of Charlotte’s 25 games, including a stretch of 10 games in which he hit 8 home runs.
