The Tide had averaged north of 40 points per game and was in the top 6 in the country in scoring every single year from 2018-2022, and the expectation was to find someone new to keep that streak going. At the time, the name Ryan Grubb surfaced as a leading candidate for the Tide.

The team’s cumulative GPA of 3.29 was also the highest in program history with 103 players on the team earning above a 3.0.Long gone are the days of opposing fanbases claiming that Alabama had low academic standards for football players.

We didn’t get many press conferences from Robbie during his time at Alabama, so seeing his new pro team going a little geeky with excitement about him (seriously, they are PUMPED about getting a fullback after the Ryan Grubb offense debacle last year) has been fun to watch.

Most projections had Ouzts going undrafted, so seeing him called in round 5 signifies the team sees a specific purpose for the unique player. Ouzts had very little production as a tight end at Alabama over his few years as a starter, but was always a trusted blocker for the Tide.
