While the Rams know that they need to plan and execute a true succession plan at the quarterback position, they are satisfied that their 2024 quarterback configuration of Matthew Stafford, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Stetson Bennett will do nicely in 2025. Of course, the New Orleans Saints thought so before May 10, 2025, too.

When it comes to the Los Angeles Rams' pass rush, there are high expectations from a group that shredded both the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles offensive lines for 16 combined quarterback sacks. That's pretty impressive, as the Eagles' offensive line was barely nudged out by the Detroit Lions for the top offensive line ranking in 2024.

The Rams needed a rotational edge rusher. They may have drafted much much more. From the moment that the Los Angeles Rams allowed DT/OLB Michael Hoecht to sign with the Buffalo Bills, the rapidly developing pass rush of Chris Shula's defense faced a fork in the road. While he was not the star edge rusher, Hoecht was a versatile and headsy workaholic who was a driving force in the locker room. He was a guy who worked harder, played smarter, and motivated everyone else on the team.
