In one month, we will be past the MLB Draft. We will be past the All-Star break. And we will be in the thick of the run up to the Trade Deadline. Typically, we don’t see a whole lot of trade activity until that period after the Draft/All-Star break, and although Jed Hoyer might be signaling a willingness to have the Cubs make a move earlier than usual this year, it’s still more likely than not that the Cubs won’t make any major trades until late-July (save it for the Blogathon, Jed!).

I like when I hear about great moments for former Chicago Cubs players whom I loved. Nice to know they are still having success. Last night, in particular, was over the top in a delightful way. First, holy crap, Kyle Hendricks.

Could we have a new Tampa Bay Rays owner soon? This is where things have been trending for a bit, given the complex negotiations about fixing the roof at the Trop, but also financing the construction of a new stadium, each of which has been a fight between current Rays ownership and the local political bodies. There was a report earlier this year that Commissioner Rob Manfred and some owners were pressuring Stu Sternberg to sell the Rays. Well, that may be happening.

RT @TheDude1321: perfect use of the John Silver meme 🤣🤣

I was not going to talk about that absurd Cubs trade proposal, so I'm actually very glad the gents at The Score asked Jed about it: https://t.co/E1Jfj2f12t
