(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Peterson Space Force Base and Fort Carson have had to make adjustments to their childcare programs after staffing shortages. Fort Carson told FOX21 News that it had to adjust the enrollment of new children into its childcare program. The Army post said it is working as quickly as possible to alleviate any impacts while also bringing on new direct-care staff to ensure they are providing services and support to Fort Carson families.

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Nationwide® is holding its yearly “Wacky Pet Names” competition, and a pet ferret from Colorado Springs is one of the finalists. Ferret Bueller is named after the cult classic John Hughes film, as the scene of Bueller being called repeatedly was playing in the background when Ferret Bueller’s owner was chasing him around their home. Bueller is one of thirty finalists in Nationwide®’s “Wacky Pet Names” contest.
