WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:Yesterday was a busy day in the weather center as numerous strong storms and a few severe storms moved through the west Tennessee area producing large hail in the afternoon and early evening hours. Hail ranged in size from near Golf Ball to Ping Pong to Dime and Nickle sized in the area. The weather is much more quiet into our Friday ahead…. By the way, it is going to be another foggy night for many areas in West Tennessee, but the forecast isn’t all bad.

WBBJ 7 Forecast Update:We are under a marginal (level 1/5) for severe storms, so a gusty wind storm or a brief hail maker cannot be ruled out. Do not cancel your plans Thursday as any storms that pop will be short lived and many of us will not see them on Thursday, but a couple of storms could become severe at least briefly. Catch the latest on Friday’s rain and storm chances as well as the latest on that stalled out low that might impact your weekend plans right here.

Storms were held off by a blocking high pressure system throughout the Weekend allowing some great weather for all of the Easter events. That high is breaking down now and moving away which will allow the storms to move on in late tonight. Although this will be a short term event, there will likely be some severe to strong storms later tonight, especially near the Mississippi River counties including Lake, Dyer, Lauderdale, Tipton, and Shelby County.
