My father owned a summer day camp. Every year I was expected to be a camper. After all, if Bob Barrabee’s own son didn’t go to his own father’s camp, then there must be something wrong with the camp. Makes sense to me now but back then as a kid, it didn’t. When I was 12, I graduated to become a junior counselor and at 15, I became a full fledged counselor. I was playing three sports in high school and although no phys ed instructor I know more than the campers.

He laughed and dismissed my concernAny of you folks who have raised children know that it’s not uncommon for them to be finicky eaters. Many years ago when my wife and I had three youngins we were continually searching for the magic combination of taste and nurichment and taste that would unlock the mouths of our kids age 12, 11, and 8. Two boys and a girl. One day quite by accident we stumbled on what we thought might be the magic elixir. Meatballs — of all things.

She may have gone too far. I always admired my girl friend’s curves. Both she and I did our best to stay in shape by going to the gym together and observing the proper diet, and get a good seven, eight hours of shut-eye. We try to do the healthy things. You folks who have a similar relationship with fitness and a partner know that you’re in the routine together. Mutual support and all that. Shopping at WalmartOne of the weekly pursuits I enjoy doing is the grocery run to Walmart.
