North Carolina State added another veteran player to its 2025-26 roster with a commitment from Ven-Allen Lubin this past weekend. Lubin, a 6-foot-8, 230-pound power forward, will play for his fourth school in four seasons after spending last year at North Carolina playing for Hubert Davis. Lubin started 20 of 37 games for the Tar Heels, logging an average of 19.6 minutes per game. He averaged 8.7 points, 5.5 rebounds and 0.9 blocked shots per contest.

Detroit seven-year veteran Frank Ragnow announced his retirement Monday. In doing so, the Lions lost one of the NFL’s elite warriors, and one of the league’s premier offensive lines lost its anchor. In a post to his Instagram account, Ragnow pointed to injuries as the reason for hanging up his cleats. Ragnow said, “These past couple of months have been very trying as I’ve come to the realization that my football journey is ending and I’m officially retiring from the NFL.

When the UFC rolls a highlight package previewing a fight on its telecasts, the reel ends just as a fighter’s walk-out music starts. But when the highlights for Saturday’s Erin Blanchfield vs. Maycee Barber UFC Vegas 107 headliner concluded, the ESPN audience was met with an awkward silence. Barber’s walk-out music had been abruptly halted merely moments before the highlight package ended.

The Indiana Pacers (62-36 straight up, 47-50-1 against the spread) are going back to the NBA Finals for the first time in 25 years. Rick Carlisle’s team surged into a double-digit lead over the Knicks with a 34-23 run in the third quarter and cruised to a 125-108 win as a four-point home favorite in Saturday’s Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals. The 233 combined points soared ‘over’ the 222.5-point total.
