LEESBURG, Va. (DC News Now) — Police said they arrested two men who robbed a Sheetz convenience store Tuesday, hours after the crime took place. The Leesburg Police Department (LPD) said Fidel Ordonez Molina, 19, and Jose A. Rosa Munoz, 19, both of Leesburg, went into the business, located at 915 Edwards Ferry Rd., around 3:30 a.m. Investigators said one of the men implied he had a gun and that the men left the store after they got money during the robbery.

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it was investigating after someone tore down Pride decorations in Dupont Circle Tuesday. Someone shared video with DCNewsNow.com, showing a man ripping the Pride-colored wrap from a pole at the intersection of Connecticut Avenue and Q Street NW. In sharing the video, he said the man had taken down four or five of the decorations. When he asked him to stop, the man seemed annoyed and took down the wrap seen in the video.

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Shakira, who was supposed to headline the WorldPride Welcome Concert at Nationals Park, will not be performing. Her appearance as part of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour was canceled late Friday, a day before the concert was to take place (May 31). Nationals Park posted on X that the cancellation was the result of an issue with the Colombian singer’s show in Boston.
