The news keeps coming from the King Parrot camp, with the announcement on Monday of the departure of long-time drummer Todd Hansen. Hansen, it would seem, has finally succumbed to the tyranny of distance involved in being a Brisbane-based musician in a Melbourne-based band. The official announcement from the band reads: “It’s with a heavy heart that we announce King Parrot and long-time drummer Todd Hansen are amicably parting ways.
