Melbourne hard rock lords Ablaze have announced they will release their new album on August 1. Sink Ya Teeth In is already available for pre-order almost four months before it comes out, and the band have a huge UK/European tour planned to back it up that kicks off on August 28 in Belgium. Before they head off, Ablaze will be launching the album at the Leadbeater in Melbourne on August 9.

Original Possessed Guitarist Killed in Police Shoot Out

Officers in San Francisco responded to Montana’s address following a report he had shot into his neighbour’s property When police arrived, Montana’s, 60, opened fire on them. After a brief exchange, he was shot and died at the scene. Montana performed on Possessed’s 1984 demo “Death Metal” before being replaced by Larry Lalonde.
Iron Mind Hitting the Road Again

For the first time since 2014, the Melbourne bruisers are fronting their own shows to promote their new album Test of the Iron Mind, due on June 13. The death metal enigma that is Portal is returning to live performance at last. Announcing four shows for August, the mysterious extremists will have the like-minded Swiss act Bølzer joining them as they menace the east coast, finishing off at Brisbane’s Necrosonic Festival on the 23rd. Tickets go on sale on May 1.
