The Bearcats cap off their first championship season in 11 years with a 34-8 record. Nawrocki was voted state champ MVP going 4 for 4 with one triple, two runs batted in, two runs scored and one stolen base.

BY BRIAN GOSSETX – @gosset41 X – @gmsportsmedia1 ===============================ROUND ROCK – Grapevine and Humble Kingwood Park went back-and-forth on Friday, and saw four lead changes, but the Mustangs pulled away and held on to beat the Panthers 9-5 during the UIL Class 5A Division 2 state championship game at Dell Diamond. Grapevine (36-3) goes back-to-back and wins the program’s third title overall (2016). The Mustangs beat Lovejoy 6-5 on a walk-off to win the 5A championship in 2024.

Collinsville (32-4) caps off its second straight state championship. The Pirates won their third title overall (1999).

BY BRIAN GOSSETX – @gosset41 X – @gmsportsmedia1 ================================AUSTIN – Forney was looking to become the first softball team from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to win a UIL state title in the largest class since 2017, but the Jackrabbits fell short against Humble Kingwood 4-1 in the Class 6A Division 2 championship on Saturday at McCombs Field from the University of Texas. The Jackrabbits (34-3-1) were at state for the sixth time and first since going back-to-back in 2018 and 2019.

The Cardinals go back-to-back after winning the 5A title (their first title) last season, 8-0 over Harlingen South.
