I always had a talent for taking difficult topics and explaining them in a way that people could understand without watering everything down. Having this talent lead me to believe that teaching a class of students was going to be a walk in the park. It ended up more akin to running from the villain in a horror movie. Ill never forget that first class. I made a number of mistakes, the most obvious being not having a bottle of water.
