By Brian MagiriEngin Firat, the Harambee Stars national team head coach, has announced his final squad for the upcoming doubleheader against Cameroon in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2025 qualifiers. The list consists of 24 players selected from the initial 28-man provisional squad named earlier. The team will be led by captain Michael Olunga who missed the first two qualification fixtures against Zimbabwe and Namibia.

In an official letter dated 8 October 2024, Otieno explained that his resignation is to allow him to pursue other opportunities. “I am writing to formally announce my resignation as the General Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF), effective today, October 8, 2024,” he stated.
