Seahawks fans are the best in the NFL. They have set records for noise, false starts, and even briefly caused the league to penalize home fans for being too loud. A number of factors have caused an erosion of the home field advantage across the NFL, including in Seattle. The team has taken an important step by warning season ticket holders about reselling too many of their tickets.

As we eagerly await the official 2025 NFL schedule release, it’s the perfect time to prognosticate and analyze how the landscape of league difficulty might shift. The national conversation about the Seattle Seahawks is that their off-season trades of D.K. Metcalf and Geno Smith signaled a rebuilding period. While the turnover on the offensive side of the ball in Seattle is significant, the same could be said about the 49ers and Cardinals defense. Part of what I love about the NFL draft is guessing along with the teams about which players will blossom into NFL stars. The reality is nobody can know for sure with the mountain of variables that range from injury to off-field issues to scheme fit. You could see the mixed emotions on his face as he described the events that unfolded on the first day of the draft. Seahawks President of Football Operations and General Manager liked his first round pick, Grey Zabel, but something was weighing on him. The full picture became clear after a raucous day two where Schneider and the Seahawks made some of the boldest moves and picks of the entire draft. They left with four players who have first round talent, and historic athleticism.

I’m excited about this. Not only do those guys deserve more recognition, but the sport needs to highlight that position to get more talent in the pipeline.

Seahawks not on this. Wonder what changed considering Macdonald was against as recently as the owners meeting.

This was the only preseason opponent open to joint practices. Good news for the vets to get some legit reps prior to opening week. Games are almost exclusively backups and rookies now.
