We're pretty sure that there’s nobody more constructive, positive, and generally helpful in the bike industry. We're wishing her the best this year, and will be eagerly awaiting her return in 2026.

Earlier this week pro freerider and former Joyride competitor Torquato Testa published a video in which he and co-host Daniel Valperta rated the attractiveness of this year's female Red Bull Rampage competitors. Many viewers were quick to condemn the video. A large number of Testa's 423K followers on YouTube are Italian, and many of the comments expressed their disappointment about the video.

The crew at Industry Nine were worried that publicizing their efforts publicly in media would seem self-serving, but they've been doing an amazing job of supporting the community and their employees in the wake of Hurricane Helene. After chatting with them about it, we think it's worth sharing the letter they posted on their website recently. They're donating 10% of retail sales through the end of October.

Over the past 12 months we've heard various rumours about Öhlins reevaluating its position the mountain bike market, but have gotten mixed responses to our inquiries. Last week however, we were able to confirm that a significant number of Öhlins mountain bike department members had been laid off or seen significant role changes. It appears that these changes are part of larger restructuring efforts at its parent company Tenneco.

1. The women belong. Not even going to spend a ton of time on this because it should be obvious. As a spectator and fan, having the women be a part of the competition felt utterly normal. Which is the way it should feel. Alma's run was absolutely sick, a highlight of the event for me—and even more so when she threw some big tricks in her victory lap. The women’s side of the sport is developing so quickly, and being included in events like Joyride is only going to accelerate that progress.
