The War Eagles scored 10 second-inning runs and cruised to the 40th consecutive win in the series.

Adams, Martin, Shore honoredDavie sophomore Avarie Martin and freshman Gracie Shore were selected to the Winston-Salem Journal’s All-Area Girls Basketball Team, and Davie’s Lindsey Adams won co-coach of the year. Martin, the CPC Player of the Year, averaged 12.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3 steals, 2.1 assists and 1.2 blocks.

Gabe McMurray collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats as Ellis’ baseball team defeated visiting Mooresville 9-8 on April 14. McMurray doubled in the first, singled in the sixth and singled in the second. Mooresville was the first to score in the first with a solo home run.

Published 11:28 am Tuesday, April 15, 2025 As expected, Davie’s lacrosse teams completely took visiting Glenn apart on April 8. The Davie girls rolled 18-1 as the Bobcats (0-9) remained winless. Olivia Howard and Kimber Holston had two goals each as Davie won for the fourth time in five games.

He went 178-152 from 1999-2009, ranking No. 1 in wins in the program’s 42-year history, and then left to coach the Winston-Salem team for five years. After being out of coaching for a few years, he’s going to replace Tristan Wyatt, who stepped down after going 18-29 over two years.
