PEORIA (25News Now) - Keep an eye to the sky this evening and early tonight as isolated to scattered showers and storms move through. Not everyone will see a storm, but the concern is that a couple of the storms that form could become strong or severe at times. If that happens, strong winds and hail will be the primary concerns. Heavy rain may also be possible at times, even outside of any strong storms.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Smoke and haze will linger across Central Illinois over the next couple of days, but our air quality is only expected to take a slight hit. The forecast is for the Air Quality Index to remain at a Level 2/6, which is what we have seen recently. Otherwise the most noteworthy thing in our short-term forecast will be increasing temperatures and humidity. Highs are expected to reach the upper 80s to near 90 tomorrow and Thursday.

PEORIA (25News Now) - Air quality is poor this afternoon with Level 4/6 conditions being reported on the Air Quality Index. It’s best to avoid any strenuous activity and limit your time outside if you can. Otherwise we’ll see increasing clouds this evening and overnight with lows tomorrow near 60. Expect a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow with highs in the upper 70s. Highs will remain in the upper 70s on Saturday. We’ll be dry Saturday morning but rain looks like a good bet Saturday afternoon.

We could see some lingering smoke at times this weekend but at Air Quality Index is expected to stay at Level 2/6. We should clear out for a few days early next week but more smoke could return for the second half of the week.

Rain looks likely tomorrow afternoon and evening, but showers and storms will be isolated Sunday afternoon and evening. Most of next week looks dry but we could see additional rain chances late next week/next weekend. https://t.co/97PiuMHVbs

Our air quality continues to improve and it's a lot better yesterday. We're seeing Level 2/5 conditions on the AQI. This means that people with sensitive medical conditions may experience some discomfort with a little smoke in the air, but most people won't be effected. https://t.co/4faJnHD2bK
