In 2007, the iPhone—the world’s first smartphone—was introduced. It had its share of skeptics: Tech news site CoolTechZone’s editor in chief, Gundeep Hora, is on record saying “The iPhone is going to be nothing more than a temporary novelty that will eventually wear off.” In hindsight, though, we know smartphones transformed everything, from how we communicate to how we find information to how we document our lives. I think we’ll look back at today's AI and see something like that.
