    New parents working for the state of Iowa will receive guaranteed paid leave under a bill signed into law by Gov. Kim Reynolds, enacting a benefit that supporters across the political spectrum said was an important step toward supporting families. Following a three-year-long push from Reynolds, the Iowa Legislature this year passed the bill with near-unanimous bipartisan support. Reynolds signed the bill into law May 27.
