The Mets are calling up Ronny Mauricio to join them in Los Angeles, according to multiple reports. Third baseman/designated hitter Mark Vientos suffered a hamstring injury on Monday, and the expectation is that he will be placed on the injured list with Mauricio taking his spot on the roster. Mauricio, who underwent ACL surgery in December 2023, has been on fire in the minors this season. Over 39 plate appearances with Triple-A Syracuse, he’s slashing .323/.384/.508 with three home runs and 11 RBI.

Mets third baseman/designated hitter Mark Vientos is being tested for a hamstring injury he sustained in Monday’s 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. In the 10th inning, Vientos fell out of the batter’s box and grabbed his hamstring. “Yeah I was just there in the training room, he’s getting looked at by the trainers, it’s the hamstring obviously,” Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said, via SNY. “Didn’t look good.

Michael Strahan is reportedly remaining on "Good Morning America" after uncertainty over his future with the ABC show. According to Max Tani of Semafor, Strahan is expected to extend his contract with GMA, lightening his schedule to fewer than five times a week. According to the report, the lighter schedule is intended to accommodate Strahan’s work with Fox as well as give him more time to spend with family.
