    Most participants were able to describe their breathlessness experience when it started or acute episode occurred. The participants usually described their breathlessness when triggered (by simple activities such as walking a very short distance, climbing stairs or doing any work in their everyday life). I actually do all the housework. Only when I do a lot at work, and also when I lift heavy things. When I use the vacuum cleaner, I get very short of breath, that’s all. I’m out of breath.

    AbstractBackground End-of-life communication is an essential component of high-quality care, but its potential mechanisms for improving care are not well understood. Objectives To summarise the potential mechanisms by which end-of-life communication may contribute to enhanced end-of-life care in any setting. Design An overview of systematic reviews, with a narrative synthesis of results. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines were followed.

    What is known about the topic Memory making was introduced in perinatal end-of-life care with the aim of improving parents' experience of bereavement. What this paper adds Memory making in critical care is a worthwhile and meaningful activity for bereaved families. It can provide structure and purpose for families during an emotionally challenging transition. It can enhance communication by facilitating conversations about patient and family wishes at end of life.
