The new musical needs to be kept inside of a box in the back of a closet. The new musical adaptation of “Mean Girls” is a film better suited for streaming platforms than the movie theater. The 2024 film is an adaptation of the 2017 Broadway stage musical, which is an adaptation of the 2004 hit movie. These versions are based off of the 2002 self-help book “Queen Bees and Wannabes.” Out of all the adaptations, Tina Fey’s “Mean Girls” (2024) is the weakest.

Jan. 28 will be 10 years since ice and snow had the city of Atlanta at a standstill. The “snowpocalypse” that crippled Northern Georgia in 2014, included two inches of snow falling in the Atlanta area, sending everyone working or going to school in the area home early. The snow quickly froze on the ground and compacted into ice, leaving local roads at a standstill. Thousands of drivers were stranded, prompting neighbors to reach out and help house people who otherwise couldn’t get home.

While most Owls were home for the holidays, several projects began on the Kennesaw campus, aiming to improve student life over the course of the next few semesters. Olivia Rodrigo’s sophomore album, “GUTS”, is a perfect finale to a 2000s-inspired coming-of-age story. Most popular coming-of-age stories occur in high school, concluding with graduation and the bittersweetness of leaving your childhood behind as you head off to whatever is next. Rodrigo’s first album, 2021 hit “SOUR,” is that high school story. However, struggle and personal growth don’t stop after you leave high school, and “GUTS” is the follow-up to what comes next in life.

A student died in the Austin Residence Complex on Monday, Sept. 25. The incident is under investigation by the KSU Police Department, and the cause of death has not been released by authorities. Amid various rumors circulating online, KSU officials say they are inaccurate. Any threat to students on campus would be handled in accordance with their emergency notification system. They declined to offer any further information.

Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida on Wednesday, Aug. 30. The Category 3 storm caused excessive damage across Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. Hurricane Idalia made landfall as a Category 3 hurricane on Wednesday, Aug. 30, bringing extensive damage to Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas. The National Hurricane Center says that the storm made landfall near Keaton Beach, Florida at 7:45 a.m. The storm had sustained winds of 125 mph, only five mph away from a Category 4 hurricane.

Two of the Buffalo Sabres’ most promising prospects are 2022 first-rounders Jiri Kulich and Matthew Savoie. Savoie, taken ninth overall in the draft, currently plays for the Wenatchee Wild (formerly the Winnipeg Ice) of the WHL. Kulich, taken 28th overall, is currently with the Rochester Americans of the AHL.
