ATWATER, Calif. (KFSN) -- Ever since he was a little boy, Cash Lee Jones dreamed of attending Stanford University. At just 16 years old and a junior in high school, his dream came early. ''It's in my dream school since I was a little kid, I was like OK I'll apply early and see what happens, and thankfully I got in and it blew my mind," Cash said. Born in Merced and raised in Atwater, Cash attended St. Anthony's School and then went on to Atwater High.

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman was left stranded near orchards after being carjacked in broad daylight. At around 8 a.m. Friday, the woman was driving alone in a Chevrolet Panel Van when she pulled over on the side of the road near Avenue 21 and Road 26. Merced County Sheriff's Deputies say she stopped to fix the load in the back.

MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- 15-year-old Farrah Morin and her grandmother, Bridget, were fast asleep Monday in their Madera apartment. When in the darkness of night, a masked man broke in and began hitting them several times over the head with what family says is a crowbar. But the man behind the mask was no stranger. Police identified the suspect as 18-year-old David Daniel Torres. A family member, who wishes not to be identified, says he's Farrah's ex-boyfriend.

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Under the hot sun with towels in hand, Caleb's friends got to work and showed their love through a Car wash and food sale. Organized to help raise funds for the 18-year-old's funeral. The fundraiser held outside of Halo Jujitsu where Caleb once trained. "He was always a great kid. He was great. He was always in a good mood. Always had a good attitude," Caleb's friend Blake said.

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Wearing Caleb's hat and his face on his shirt, Stephen Quick rewatched his son's final moments, as Clovis Police released surveillance footage of the deadly shooting for the first time. "Obviously, from the videos, you can tell that this gentleman targeted my son and wanted to end his life to sit there for 13 minutes, stewing in hate in hate and continue to walk through with this plan because this is definitely a planned thing," said Stephen Quick.
