Ryan Coogler’s Sinners is now in theatres! Ahead of the film’s release, I had the pleasure of sitting down with some of the cast to chat about their experience working on Sinners. Li Jun Li, Delroy Lindo, and Omar Miller shine in Sinners. Their characters bring fantastic energy to the fray every time they appear on screen.

“You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.”In Sinners, the narrative revolves around the enigmatic SmokeStack twins, portrayed by the talented Michael B. Jordan. Their return from Chicago sparks whispers and concerns in the town, as their history of trouble precedes them. Even their uncle, the righteous preacher Jedidiah (Saul Williams), is wary. His son, Sammie, also known as Preacher Boy (Miles Caton), idolizes his twin cousins, despite the rumors surrounding them.

When you’re in Hollywood, you never know what events are happening right next to you. Sure, on the main drags you’ll see people lined up for a show at the Pantages or a red carpet premiere at the El Capitan. Since his breakout in the early 2000s, Jason Statham has become ubiquitous—a staple in modern cinema. When I was learning how to do a cockney accent for my college mock trial team, I primarily relied upon a YouTube video called “Learn the Cockney Accent with Jason Statham.” Mr. Statham does not actually appear in the video; he is only a guy who gives his best impression of the actor, which is only made possible by how strong of a fixture he is.

After premiering at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Ann Marie Fleming’s film, Can I Get A Witness releases in theatres today. In a not so distant future, death is everyone’s job. With travel and technology banned, 50-year-olds submit to dying as a way to control the world’s population and prevent further damage to the earth. These sacrifices are documented by teenage artists as they happen.

RT @CartierFilms: Always dope when actors notice like little details in interviews whether in the questions or like here in the background

Michael B. Jordan: “Black Panther in the back. Cool.” Hailee Steinfeld: “Come on!” I didn't even realize he noticed the poster because I was nervous, but then I got the footage, boosted the volume and caught it. 🥹 https://t.co/l8lIJ97s4L

While it's referred to as a “sampling” of reviews, pulling quotes only written by white men critics was definitely a choice...
