As the title indicates, NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 16, "Bugs" revolves around the character of Bugs -- and provides some very valuable information about him. This episode deviates from the "case of the week" format to focus strictly on the CBS prequel's mythology, and set up the remaining episodes of the season. That's great given that so much needs to be tied up, but it also makes it less entertaining in a few places.

NCIS Season 22, Episode 17, "Killer Instinct" is a good episode that's just one step away from being great. The CBS show finally devotes some screen time to fleshing out the season's villain, Deputy Director Gabriel Laroche, and it seems like Laroche will be given more depth than being the shady bureaucrat fans met in the season premiere. But the episode walks right up to the line of making that bold plot choice -- and then backs away from it in favor of keeping with the status quo.

Suits LA Season 1, Episode 8, "Acapulco" is an episode that begins and ends with Harvey Specter. Gabriel Macht makes his second return to the NBC spinoff to tie the past and present storylines together, and his presence once again energizes the proceedings. Unfortunately, the rest of the hour is bogged down in overly dramatic choices and story beats that are already starting to feel too familiar.

Me at lunch today: “Scott McLaughlin has a @GoodRanchers box!” Dad: “Better than the Romain Grosjean box, which never gets delivered because the truck crashes.” Me: “…” #savage #indycarhumor

My favorite part of writing this piece was spontaneously comparing @leighdiffey and @DonOrsillo. Two fantastic announcers who made me more passionate about sports because they are. Two of the greatest to ever get behind a mike IMO. https://t.co/DJD1r2VjrN
