NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Fire crews saved multiple animals after a dryer fire broke out at an animal hospital in North Haven. The fire happened around 9:23 p.m. The animals survived thanks to the hard work of New Haven Firefighters. Crews revived two dogs after they went into cardiac arrest because of the fire. Officials said the building filled with smoke, and the animals were in the same area where the fire started.

(WTNH) — Over 100 middle school students in East Hartford attended East Hartford Police’s Annual Fishing Derby Tuesday, an event encouraging children to get outdoors and learn something new. “It’s actually a reward for perfect attendance, student of the month, some students who have overcome some pretty significant obstacles this year,” East Hartford Middle School social worker Shannon Russell said.

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (WTNH) — Former UConn champ Paige Bueckers will be back in Connecticut Tuesday night as a member of the Dallas Wings. This Connecticut Sun versus Dallas Wings game is expected to get pretty heated. Both teams are looking for their first win this season, as both are 0 and 4. Bueckers and the Wings were practicing at the casino Monday afternoon. Although the team has yet to win this season, Paige is leading the team in scoring, averaging 13 points per game.
