Police have launched an urgent investigation after human remains have been found inside a burnt-out car on a country lane. Police were called to Marishes Lane, near Malton, North Yorkshire, on Monday morning, where they found the body. Formal identification has not yet taken place, but a family in Ireland is being supported by officers. Detectives believe the death, which is being treated as unexplained, may be linked to a collision on the A169 late on Sunday.
