    The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration has issued a recall for certain models of Western Star trucks due to an incorrectly installed battery connection may cause fire. Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2026 Western Star 49X and 2021-2026 Western Star 47X vehicles. A stud connecting the battery to the starter at the frame rail may have been incorrectly installed, which can cause a short circuit.

    STODDARD COUNTY, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol and KWOC radio station in Poplar Bluff, Mo. reported on Monday morning that a single vehicle crash had blocked lanes of Highway 60 near Puxico. In an update later Monday morning, KWOC cited the MSHP saying the crash involved a big rig and that all lanes were re-opened. No details of the crash has been released, but authorities did say that there were no injuries.

    ATLANTA — When Shell Rotella SuperRigs 2025 held its Friday night festivities which included a truck light show, live music and fireworks, many from the community of Hampton and McDonough, Georgia came out to marvel at the trucks that were on display, and enjoy what the Shell Rotella event had to offer at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. One of those was Mary Elliott, 89, from McDonough saw local news coverage on Friday morning and decided that she wanted to come out and see what the fuss was about.

    HAMPTON, Ga. — A tornado barreled through Henry County, Ga., on Thursday just a few miles from the Atlanta Motor Speedway where the annual SuperRigs event was being held. Shell Rotella spokesperson Julie Wright said the weather prompted the chief of the Hampton, Ga., police called off the parade of trucks that was set to take place in downtown Hampton on Thursday night.
