Bruno Giussani is an author and analyst, focusing on the intersection of technology, geopolitics and economics. For 20 years until 2024, he was the global curator and European director of TED, the organization behind the popular online TEDTalks, and co-founder of its climate initiative, Countdown. Before joining TED, he was an internet columnist for the New York Times and a writer for several outlets in Switzerland, where he lives, and in many other countries; head of online strategy at the World Economic Forum; Knight Fellow and Affiliated Fellow at the Institute for International Studies at Stanford University; and lecturer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. He was also, for five years until 2022, president of the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights. He graduated from the University of Geneva.
