    As news of veteran comedian Moses Lim’s passing spreads across Singapore, local filmmaker Jack Neo has taken to social media to mourn his long-time friend. In the '90s, Jack and Moses were the hosts and performers in the wildly popular variety show Comedy Nite, which ended its run in 2003. They reunited in 2016 for the variety series Happy Can Already!. The last time the pair appeared together in public was on a radio show last year.

    Is that a bird? Or a plane? Wait… Is that the Goddess of Mercy? Actually, it is paraglider Wandi Wang cosplaying as the revered deity Guan Yin aka the Goddess of Mercy. The 30-year-old posted a video on her Instagram soaring through the sky dressed as the goddess who is a dearly worshipped deity in Buddhist religion and Chinese mythology. “Monster, show your true form,” she is heard saying before the video cuts to Wandi pointing to a man and seemingly transforming him into a shiba inu.

    If you grew up in the 90s’, you would know Hong Kong actor-singer Ekin Cheng as one of the most dashing celebs of that era. Naturally, that has changed more than 30 years on. However, we can only imagine how the 57-year-old cringed when his Last Song For You co-star, Natalie Hsu called him… “Uncle”. During an appearance to support the film, the 20-year-old Natalie talked about working with Ekin and she used to term “uncle” to describe him.

    Did you know there’s a Singapore Park in Xiamen, China? Property agent Isaac Yee recently took to TikTok to give a tour of the park, showing a block of flats that will not look out of place at say, Waterloo Street. Isaac said they were pioneer projects built in China and these six-storey buildings were modelled after the three-room flats of Singapore in the '70s. There is at least once difference though: none of these flats have elevators.
