Flags from NATO countries were placed in a circle in a lawn between the school and athletic fields. The small flags in the Peace Prayer Circle represented the 32 countries in NATO. “It was exciting because the timing of the Peace Prayer Circle was perfect, between when the white smoke appeared and Pope Leo XIV was named the new pope,” said Susan Marticello, public relations coordinator for CJ. SIDNEY — While the end was a little sloppier than Sidney hoped for, the squad thrived offensively in its final nonconference and home game of the season. The Yellow Jackets led by double digits most of the way in a 70-61 win over Tecumseh on Tuesday and had five players score in double figures. Sidney (16-5) was without starting sophomore forward Kaleb Lee and sophomore forward Connor Widmark, who is continuing to deal with a nagging injury.
