WINDSOR - Two years ago, high school girls flag football in Connecticut was just a one-day tournament held by one league. Two years down the road, the sport's first state tournament is on the horizon. The CIAC will stage one this spring. "We will for sure have a state championship this year where a champion will be crowned and a runner-up will get an award and a medal," Corey Plaske, the CIAC's events manager, said Tuesday. A specific date and location have yet to be set.
