The building owner got into a car accident three years ago, which has halted plans to remodel the place, including resurfacing the parking lot.

From assaults to break-ins to reoccurring thefts, the craze for Pokémon cards has led some to the dark side of collecting. Videos of Pokémon horror stories can be found all over the Internet, some taking place in Fresno. In April, a Fresno man was arrested for armed robbery after attempting to steal 100 packs of Pokémon cards valued at roughly $1,000.

One of Fresno's most celebrated taco restaurants is about to get bigger. El Premio Mayor, which began as a food truck and is a six-time Taco Truck Throwdown winner, is moving out of its original brick-and-mortar location on Avenue and relocating down the street at the old Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen at First Street and McKinley. Owner Bianca Loza confirmed the move and said she's hopeful that El Premio Mayor's new location could open sometime in September or October.

Known for serving a fresh bowl of albóndigas and hosting karaoke nights, the Bobby Salazar’s franchise at the northeast corner of Fowler and Herndon avenues ended up closing some time in May.
