The university recently honored its 2025 Outstanding Graduate students, as well as the recipients of four superlative awards, during the Graduate Research Symposium and Awards Ceremony in the Houston Harte University Center. The honorees were nominated by faculty in their respective academic departments, and each received a certificate of recognition.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Angelo State University Symphony Orchestra is getting ready for their final concert of the spring season. The concert, dubbed "Supermaximum," will take place this Friday, at Southland Baptist Church in San Angelo. Joined by students from Central and Lake View High Schools, these talented musicians will perform pieces such as, "Dance of the Comedians" from "The Bartered Bride" by Bedrich Smetana, "Gold" by Franklin Piland and "Supermaximum" by Kenji Bunch.

MIDLAND, Texas — If you're a fan of music, then you may want to make sure your calendar is clear on Thursday night. Why you ask? Because the West Texas Symphony Chamber Chorale, will be presenting Morning & Evening. Talented musicians will hit the stage at 7:30PM, at the Rea-Greathouse Recital Hall inside the Wagner Noel PAC. Tickets are $25 and $12 for students. Thursday's show is rescheduled from February 8th. If you bought tickets for that show, they are valid for this week's show.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Three Angelo State University educators are being celebrated for their commitment to helping the school's students. Chris Houston, Dr. Gayle Randall and Dr. William Taylor, have been selected to receive the 2024-25 Gary and Pat Rodgers Distinguished Awards honoring outstanding ASU staff, faculty and administrators. Houston, manager of accreditation and assessment in the Norris-Vincent College of Business, received the Distinguished Staff Award.
