The Cowboys beat Denver in Super Bowl XII and lost to Pittsburgh in SBX while the running back was in Dallas. A short-yardage specialist, Dennison, who was the first NFL player from what was then Kutztown State Teachers College, ran for 1,112 yards on 306 carries in 52 games for the Cowboys from 1974-78.

Matthew Wright kicked four field goals, including the 31-yard, game-winner as time expired, to help the Kansas City Chiefs defeat the Los Angeles Chargers 19-17 Sunday night. Wright, a Lampeter-Strasburg grad, banked his winning kick off the left upright. With the victory, the Chiefs clinched the AFC West Division for title the ninth straight season. Wright also made field goals 47, 33 and 50 yards during the game and an extra point to total 13 points in the contest.
