    In a span of 72 hours, the California Golden Bears have seen their entire running back depth chart enter the transfer portal. There’s Cal fan favorite and star Jaydn Ott, who has already made the decision to go to Oklahoma to be coached by former NFL star Demarco Murray. After Ott left, there was likely starting Cal running back Jaivian Thomas, who shockingly entered the portal hours after almost certainly being assured of being the future starter for this program.

    Football is around the corner. The California Golden Bears return to the gridiron this Wednesday for fall camp to prepare for the 2024 regular season. The biggest question lejft to settle is who will start at quarterback. Chandler Rogers and Fernando Mendoza have a big battle ahead. It appeared as if Mendoza had the edge coming out of spring, but Rogers had only just arrived, so it’s hard to say where things will stand by the time fall is done. There will be plenty of other battles.

    Dan Lanning has Oregon Ducks Football on the verge of an all-time recruiting class. In this past class, Oregon picked up 21 signees to grab the No. 3 ranked group for 2024, per 247Sports Composite. That surpassed the previous-best class of Ducks: 2021. The 2021 flock was the highest ranked in school history at the time. The 24 signees gave UO a No. 6 ranking. But how have those 24 players panned out? Note: Lanning took over just days ahead of the 2021 National Signing Day.
