Toronto could see chilly weather and even snow this week before the temperature climbs back to more seasonable daytime highs ahead of the Easter weekend. CP24 meteorologist Bill Coulter said Toronto will see an “unseasonably cool” high of 9 C on Tuesday afternoon. “Areas north of the city in midwestern and central Ontario will likely see bursts of wet flurries into Tuesday afternoon,” Coulter said Tuesday. A high of 6 C in the forecast on Wednesday along with a chance of flurries.

The CN Tower, ROM, Ripley’s Aquarium and The Distillery District are open through the weekend. The CN Tower will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.Ripley’s Aquarium will remain open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday. The ROM will be open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Toronto Zoo will remain open with weekend/holiday hours of 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The below malls have altered hours for the days listed below. Toronto Eaton Centre, 220 Yonge St. Good Friday: 11 a.m. to 7 pm.

After being announced in October 2024, automated speed cameras will go live in Vaughan on April 23, according to the city. The cameras will be set up in community safety zones, which are marked by signage. These zones include areas “near schools, neighbourhoods, daycare centres, playgrounds, parks and seniors’ residences” according to the city’s website.

The TTC said a number of subway stations will be closed this weekend on Line 2 due to planned track work. Subway service between Ossington and Jane stations will be down on April 12 and 13 and regular subway service will resume April 14 at around 6 a.m.Shuttle buses will be available for passengers and the TTC says there will also be two extra Wheels-Trans buses for customers requiring assistance.

The City of Toronto’s program permitting alcohol consumption in public parks appears to be a success to parkgoers, with a new report revealing a “high level of satisfaction” and few disturbances arising since its inception. The Alcohol in Parks program was first piloted in 2023, allowing visitors aged 19 and over to drink their own alcohol at 27 parks across Toronto.

This is a good example of needing a little nuance with the character count. Seems like the issue (from replies) was the film was slower/sadder than expected, so more of a drama over a thriller. Doesn’t seem to mean the film was just bad filmmaking.
